Oh YES!  This is good and easy!  This is not like any tart you have ever had.  With a cheesecake filling sandwiched between to cinnamon rolls how can you go wrong!  Make breakfast special by serving something unexpected.

Cinnamon Roll cheesecake Tart Recipe (makes 8)


2 – 12.4 ounce – 8 count Pillsbury cinnamon rolls

1 –  8 ounce cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 egg


Preheat oven as directed on the cinnamon roll package.  Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

On a lightly floured surface roll each cinnamon to a 5X4- inch rectangle.  Place half of the rectangles on the prepared cookie sheets.

Make filling.  In a small mixing bowl blend cream cheese until creamy, add confectioners’ sugar and cinnamon combine until well blended.  Spoon a heaping tablespoon of filling in the center of the rectangles on the cookie sheets and spread leaving a 1/2-inch edge all around.

Using a fork blend together the egg and 1 tablespoon of cold water.  Brush around the edges of the top and bottom rectangles.  Lay the top rectangle on the top of the rectangle with the filling and press down the edges with finger tips and then with a fork. P.S.  No, those are NOT turtle shells.  🙂

NOTE:  Once you have completed the above steps you can place your tarts in the freezer for the future!

Bake according to the cinnamon roll package (about 15 minutes).  NOTE:  The rolls puffed up.  So I cut vents in them, used a spatula and pushed them back down a bit.  I like them flat but it’s up to you as to how you want them to look.  Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes.  If desired drizzle with cream cheese filling or the frosting that came with the cinnamon rolls.  NOTE:  I had some of my filling left over so I added water to it until the filling came to a drizzle consistency, poured it into a zip top bag, cut off a small portion of the corner and drizzled it on the tart.  This is a LBC original!
