Lady Behind The Curtain - Star Spangled Kabob Treats

I LOVE the versatility and affordability of Rice Krispy Treats 🙂

This is a perfect treat to serve at your Memoral Day Barbecue, July 4th picnic or to use as a kid’s party favor.

Star Spangled Kabob Treats Supplies

Rice Krsipy Treats

Star shaped cookie cutters ( I used 2 sizes)

Skewers

Colored Candy Melts

Patriotic Sprinkles

Star Spangled Kabob Treats Instructions

Follow the Rice Krispy Treats recipe; press into a 10-in. x 15-in. pan sprayed with non stick cooking spray.  Let the treats sit for a few minutes.  DO NOT let them cool completely you want them to be a little ply-able.  Turn the pan upside down onto the counter; using a star shaped cookie cutter cut out the desired sizes for your kabob.  As you have enough for one kabob go ahead and run your skewer through the treats. TIP:  If the treats seem loose, melt some of the white candy melts, add a dollop to the base of the stars and place in the refrigerator to harden.  Once you have made all the kabobs and the stars are secure you can melt the candy melts.  The directions for melting is on the candy melts bag.  Using a fork, dip into the melted candy and with a sweeping motion drizzle the candy over your kabobs.  Once you have drizzled on the last color, sprinkle the patriotic sprinkles on while the candy is still warm.  Place in refrigerator to harden.  This is a LBC original!
