6 Fun Things to Discover at Disneyland | If you have been to Disneyland any number of times I’m sure you’ve discovered very quickly that Disneyland is all about layers. Layers of fun that is! I have been pretty much every year since I can remember and I am still discovering new things!
THROUGHOUT THE PARK
HIDDEN MICKEYS: Disneyland has found a way to create an on going game! The hunt for the hidden mickeys! You can make this a family affair. Each time you visit the park see how many NEW hidden mickeys you can find or…..make it a competition among your group! Anyway you choose, hunting for hidden mickeys adds another layer of fun to your trip! You can find the hidden mickeys all through out the Disneyland Park.
SNOW WHITE’S SCARY ADVENTURES: Set the atmosphere early, while waiting in the line to the Snow White’s Scary Adventures ride, rub the brass apple and the witch will cackle. The little ones will believe that it really is the wicked witch!
MAD TEA PARTY RIDE: Just for an added bonus of adventure and fun. When choosing your tea cup choose the plain purple one! It’s super fast!
Next time you’re wondering through Tomorrowland check out all the plants. THEY’RE EDIBLE! A land full of shiny orbs, kinetic sculptures, metallic finishes and mechanical touches also raise your sight skyward. The plants in Tomorrowland are meant to be edible! The visionary landscaping doubles as a potential farm, projecting an ecologically astute future, where humanity makes the most of its resources.
THE LITTLE MAN OF DISNEYLAND’S HOUSE: Take your kids on a hunt for Patrick Begorra’s home! Here’s some history behind The Little Man of Disneyland. A Little Golden Book titled Little Man of Disneyland was originally published in 1955 tells of a little man Patrick Begorra who lived in one of the orange trees where Disneyland was to be built. Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and Goofy show Patrick the plans for a wonderful magical park they want to build where the orange orchard stands. Patrick Begorra agrees as long as he can live on property in a tree. His home can be found near the entrance of Indiana Jones Adventure ride at the base of a tree.
HIDDEN PATH: When the park gets crowded and all you want is a peaceful cool place to chill this is the place for you! Enter the hidden path through the Harbour Galley located across from the Haunted Mansion and next to the rafts that take you to Tom Sawyer Island. Walk past the order windows and take a left. Follow the path to the back along The Rivers of America and over a bridge for a fantastic view of the Splash Mountain drop. Eavesdrop on the all the fun as the riders come down the mountain.
