How to Make a Pool Noodle Cupcake Stand
Pool Noodle Cupcake Stand Supplies: (look for the printable version below)
- pool noodles (I used 5)
- 2 googles
- low temperature hot glue gun
- glue sticks (I used 2)
- straight pins
POOL NOODLE CUPCAKE STAND DIRECTIONS (video below):
For the bottom portion of the stand measure and cut 37 (3-inch) pieces.
Wedge 18 pieces into the center. NOTE: I only glued the outside ring together and then wedged the other pieces in tight enough that the piece all stayed together.
Bring it all together by adding the goggles. Use straight pins and pin the strap into the pool noodle. PLACE YOUR LAST 3 INCH PIECE TO THE TOP OF THE CUPCAKE CENTERPIECE.
How to Remove the Black Marks from a Marker
Use a small amount of acetone to remove black marks.

HOW TO MAKE A POOL NOODLE CUPCAKE STAND VIDEO
Pool Noodle Cupcake Stand
Yield:
1 Cupcake Stand
Dazzle your guests with this super cute easy to make cupcake stand.
Materials
- pool noodles (I used 5)
- 2 googles
- glue sticks ( I used 2)
- straight pins
Tools
- low temperature hot glue gun
- serrated knife
Instructions
For the Bottom Tier:
- For the bottom portion of the stand measure and cut pool noodles into 37 (3-inch) pieces. Measure and mark with a marker.
- Use a sharp serrated knife.
- Heat the glue gun. Glue 18 outside pieces together. Hold until cool.
- Wedge the 18 inside pieces into the center.
For the Middle Tier:
- Cut 12 (5 inch) pieces. Glue 9 together to form a circle, fill with remaining 3 pieces.
For the Top Tier:
- To complete the cupcake stand, p[lace your remaining 3 inch piece on top of the middle tier.
Final Touch:
- Stretch google straps around the bottom tier of the pool noodles.
- To keep the googles in place, use straight pins.
NOTE: IF THE STRAPS ON THE GOOGLES ARE CONNECTED IN ONE CONTINUOUS LOOP, FIND THE CENTER AND CUT THE STRAP.

I read that the bottom layer is cut three inches, what’s the length for the
next layer?
Hi Velma, Because I added push up pops to the top layer I chose to make mine 5-inches. It all depends on how tall your cupcake picks are and what you’re adding to the top layer.
