Lemon Butter Cream Frosting Recipe
1/3 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4- drops yellow food coloring (optional)
Beat together the butter, shortening and vanilla. Slowly add 2 cups confectioners’ sugar. Add lemon juice. Gradually beat in 2 additional cups confectioners’ sugar. Beat in 1 to 2 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon at a time until frosting reaches spreading consistency. Makes about 2-1/3 cups frosting. This is a LBC original!
