When planning a party it’s crucial that you have a few easy items. My rule of thumb for party planning is more than 50% of what you serve should be store bought (charcuterie board) and the rest homemade some easy, some a little more difficult. Everything doesn’t have to be homemade for it to be good.
If this is your first time decorating pretzels don’t worry I have a whole post with a video dedicated to showing you how easy it is to make these fun party treats! Click here for the post and video —->>>>HOW TO DECORATE PRETZELS
- pretzel rods
- green candy melts
- lime green candy melts, optional
- white sprinkles (jimmies)
- flower shaped sprinkles
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Pour green candy melts into a microwave safe bowl. Melt at 30 second increments (about 1 minute and 30 seconds total). Spoon melted candy over pretzel leaving about 3 inches on the bottom with out melted candy. To get all the excess candy off the pretzel, tap on the edge of the bowl. Lightly sprinkle wet pretzel with white sprinkles and add a flower near the top. Place on prepared cookie sheet. When the cookie sheet is full place in the refrigerator until the pretzels have hardened (about 15 minutes). Repeat this process for the optional lime green pretzels.
