Halloween Costume Caramel Apple Candy Corn Rice Krispie Treats | So..so..much fun! Rice krispie treats covered in caramel to look like caramel apples! Are these caramel apples? No…..they are rice krispie treats in costume! Trick your guests into thinking they’re eating a caramel apple with these fun and easy to make Halloween Party treats. Package them up for the neighborhood trick or treaters or as party favors.
These fun Halloween Costume Caramel Apple Candy Corn Rice Krispie Treats are made with candy corn flavored marshmallows (found at Target) and mini candy corn. If you’re having a hard time finding the candy corn marshmallows or mini candy corn, these treats are just as delicious made with regular marshmallows and without the candy corn.
I made these fun treats for a costume party. Everyone was fooled into thinking they had a caramel apple. One BIG bite and they knew! Hahaha…..it was so much fun stepping back and watching as guest after guest took their first bite.

Halloween Costume Kripsy Treats
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 (10 ounce) bag marshmallows
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 cups Rice Krispy cereal
- 1 cup candy corn
- 1 package caramel wraps
- 12 dowels sharpened or popsicle sticks
- candy melts ( yellow, white, orange and black)
- sprinkles
- plastic spider
- ribbon
Instructions
- In a medium sized sauce pan over low heat, add butter to melt.
- Once melted add marshmallows, salt, and vanilla.
- Stir continuously until the marshmallows have reached a smooth consistency.
- Remove from heat and fold in the cereal and candy corn until completely coated.
- Pour onto wax paper.
- Spray hands with non stick cooking spray and form into apple shaped balls.
- Place caramel wrap around the Krispy treat.
- Put into freezer to harden.
- While in freezer prepare the candy melts.
- Only prepare to decorate one style at a time. Example: If doing the spider web, only melt the black. Pour melted candy melt into a squeeze bottle.
- Make the spider web by first drawing lines out from the center top of the ball then draw scallops from line to line.
- Using more black melted candy attach the spider.
- Insert the dowel and place back into the freezer to harden the candy.
- Tie a ribbon around the dowel before serving.

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 (10 ounce) bag marshmallows or candy corn marshmallows
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 cups Rice Krispy cereal
- 1 1/2 cups mini candy corn
- 3 packages of caramel wraps
- 12 pointed caramel apple pointed sticks or popsicle sticks
- candy melts ( yellow, white and orange)
- sprinkles
- ribbon
Instructions
Add butter, marshmallows and salt to a large microwave safe bowl. Heat on high 30 seconds, stir, 30 seconds, stir another 30 seconds and stir. Fold in the cereal and candy corn until completely coated. Spray hands with non stick cooking spray and form into 12 apple shaped balls. Place caramel wrap around the Krispie treat. Put into freezer to harden. While in freezer prepare the candy melts. Pour candy melts into a medium microwave safe bowl, heat on high 1 minute, stir and heat another 30 seconds at 70%. Stir until all the candy is melted and creamy. Once treats are decorated, place in the refrigerator to harden (about 15 minutes). Tie a ribbon around the sticks before serving.
