Grilled Hot Sauce Pizza | If you like your food with a little kick then this is the pizza for you! Not too hot/spicy for us wimps just the right amount of heat with tons of delicious flavor. One of our favorite Game Day foods is hot wings. This weekend I set aside the hot wings and served this spicy Grilled Hot Sauce Pizza to my hungry game watchers. Everyone said I made a touchdown in the food department! When our favorite team is playing there are two things that are super important. 1. Our favorite quarterback is playing and…. 2. THE FOOD! (possibly not in that order)
So let’s talk pizza and the delicious hot sauce I used to create this unique pizza. Starting with the steak I used the El Yucateco Black Label Hot Sauce for the marinade. This sauce is created from fire roasted habanero’s with a rich smoky unique flavor (that’s why the sauce is black). With the depth of flavor and the perfect amount of heat this sauce was the best choice for my marinade.
Now onto the pizza dough. How fun is this dough? With swirls of hot sauce! For the dough I used the El Yucateco Red Habanero Hot Sauce with fresh red habanero peppers, tomato and spices. Since this sauce is considered an everyday sauce and is the perfect wings sauce I thought it only fitting that I add it to my Grilled Hot Sauce Pizza!
I found my sauces at my Walmart on the Hispanic aisle.
Once your pizza dough has risen, pour a tablespoon of the hot sauce in the center, knead the sauce into the dough (the dough will need more flour to bring it all together), place in a bowl to rise.
Once the dough has risen to double in size.
Roll into a 14×11-inch rectangle (for easy transport place on a piece of parchment paper).
Grill on medium heat about 5 minutes per side.
Grill beef until about medium.
Add refried bean mixture.
Marinated Steak.
grilled vegetables.
Cheese. Bake until cheese is melted.
Add toppings! Sour cream, fresh tomatoes, black olives and green onions.
