Churro Waffle Sticks
Easy to make snack made by using a ready made churro mix. Light on the inside and crispy on the outside. No frying necessary for these churros!
Ingredients
For the Sugar Topping:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Churro Waffle Sticks:
- 1 store bought churro mix PLUS ingredients listed on the box to make the churro mix
For the Mexican Chocolate Ganache:

Instructions
For the Sugar Topping:
- Add the sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl; stir to combine and set aside.
For the Churro Waffle Sticks:
- Follow mixing directions on the churro box.
- Coat a waffle iron with non stick cooking spray; use an ice cream scoop and add *two batter mounds* into each waffle section.
- Press until the waffle iron will lock and cook 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cut ONE waffle into strips; roll in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
- Serve warm or at room temperature with Mexican Chocolate Ganache.

Notes
Only work with one waffle at a time. Leave the remaining waffles in the waffle maker. It's important that the waffles stay warm in order for the cinnamon mixture to stick.
I see that box of Churros in the grocery store some times and I am so tempted! This recipe is so fun!
